Hyperlink formatting for all hyperlinks on page

User: Stephen C. 9 years ago
My iWeb site has some pages with many, many hyperlinks. I can see how you format ONE hyperlink in EverWeb, but is there a way to use/copy this formatting for all the following hyperlinks on the page?

With iWeb this can be done with a click. I can't see how to do this in EverWeb.

Thanks,
Steve

It's possible to now but it looks like it will be even easier to do in ver 1.7 (in beta) coming out soon!

Thanks Steve. Any clues on how to - now - easily copy the formatting of first hyperlink to all subsequent hyperlinks on a page?

In EverWeb V1.7 you can click a button in the Hyperlinks inspector which pops up a window to set the default link colors.

The beta is available for download from this forum but you may be as well to wait for the final version which can't be too far away!

Does anyone know if the colors will stay? Right now in 1.6 it is a bear to get link colors to stay if they are not the default color

Roddy, thanks - the new hyperlinks feature sounds good. Am looking forward to trying V1.7.

This is the problem I am having. There is no button for "Use for New Links on This Page" (found in iWeb). I tried using the Everweb button "Set Default Link Colors," but even after setting the defaults, Everweb simply ignores them and gives me the same old blue and yellow. I'm working on a web page now with 25 text links on it...this is going to take forever to have to set all three colors (regular, mouseover, visited) for every single link. If "Set Default Link Colors" doesn't set the colors for the other links on the page, then what is it supposed to do?

After saving the defaults, you need to quit EW and relaunch it for the Defaults to take hold

Thanks, that did the trick. Seems quite primitive though. Every time I want to change the defaults, I have to close the program? Wow. Actually, what I'd prefer to have is the iWeb "Use for New Links on Page" because I make the link formatting different on each page according to the artwork on that page. With Everweb's method, it means I will have to set default links, close and re-open the program every time I want to make hyperlinks on a new page.

Actually, I believe the Default is for the site, not the page but not sure
