I am not sure if I am in the right place here but .. I have a website hosted by RAGESW but my domain name is registered with GoDaddy. How do I change the first page which is http://www.mvallance.net/mvallance/RMI.html which is accessed by typing in simply http://www.mvallance.net/ to http://www.mvallance.net/mvallance/BLOG/BLOG.html when typing in http://www.mvallance.net Is it edited here in my RAGESW account or GoDaddy or maybe in my iWeb software? Thank you. Michael |

Hi Michael, This is an EverWeb forum, not an iWeb forum but this blog post will answer your question. This would not have anything to do with Godaddy, just how you publish your website to our servers. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Create an index.html file like this… <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title></title><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url= BLOG/BLOG.html" /></head><body></body></html> … and upload it to the mvallance folder on the server to replace the existing one.. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Paul - thank you but as I stated I was unsure of the source of the issue and started with my hosting service. I will check the link and watch the associated video. Roddy - thank you. I am going to switch to Everweb s/w when I find the time. When will a BLOG function be added though? |

No need to watch videos or creating index.html files. In iWeb move the blog page to the top of the list and publish the changes. iWeb will create a new index.html file in the root of the server and in the folder with the site name. You apparently did that, since the index.html files ware created yesterday at 14.06 and redirect to the blog page. http://www.mvallance.net/ |
