Do you have the latest version of Xcode and the iOS simulator installed? You'll need to make sure you have the latest versions.

This computer is still running Mountain Lion and I have the latest version that will run on that OS.

Currently you'll need Xcode 6. Not sure if we will be able to support earlier versions. Can you tell me which version you have?

5.1.1. Although I won't be using it much longer, there still quite a few using OS as old as Snow Leopard.

This whole problem would go away if a better method of using https with the jQuery link was implemented. Like a checkbox in the publishing settings page.

Either that or stop forcing the use of jQuery V1.9.1 on every page. I, for one, would rather use a more recent version of jQuery. V1.9 is at least a year and a half old. Perhaps we could be allowed our own choice until jQuery Compat 3.0 becomes available?

Unnecessary scripts are never a good idea but should certainly be avoided on the mobile version of a website which is, after all, what we are testing on the simulator.

I've just tested the iOS Simulator on another Mac using Mavericks and Xcode V6. I get this message…

However, the simulator does launch and shows a page of the website but I had to hit the Preview button every time I changed the device type.

After quitting and relaunching EverWeb it then worked OK.

Now I remember why I still use V5. The V6 simulator is pathetic in comparison.

You'll get the message if you the simulator is not yet launched. I don't know why yet.

jQuery is going to be required to properly support retina images when using the img tag for version 1.7. I will see about upgrading to a newer version of jQuery.
