A title font saved as an image keeps cutting off the top half.

I've got a title with the font 'Zophino'. I saved the Zophino as an image and it shows up fine (sometimes). For some reason it wants to default to something other than 'bring to front'. I can fix it easily by moving it to the rear and then moving it back to the front and then save.

If I go to another page within my site and then go back to the homepage with the Zophino font it will cut off the top unless I take it to the back and then bring it back to the front.

Here's a photo of the cutoff. It's an easy fix (send it to the back and then bring it back to front) but I must do it each time. I even 'locked' it but it doesn't help. It's the only text that continues to do that.

I visited your website on firefox and safari on macbook pro. I could not get that to happen. I am guessing it is on purpose that when returning to home you land part-way down the page. Only other thing I noticed (if you care about it), on Links page, Dna Point Bycycle link should read Dana Point Bicycle. It is a lovely site for Dana Point.

It was happening several versions ago and I noticed that it happens again occasionally...

Still working on it and haven't done any SEO as yet. Only a couple of friends know about it.
When I upload and see the problem I correct it immediately so the cutoff shouldn't show up. There's nothing on the home page and the 'header' has been set to 0 so there's nothing to go in front of it that I can find. I'll check out the header once again to make sure it's closed out.

Yes, returning to the homepage further down is on purpose. Roddy made an anchor that works from a different page. Scrolling down every time to pick up where you left off would be annoying. I only wanted the opening to only show up once.

Yeah, the links page is pretty pathetic at the moment.
Thanks Yelena,, at least I know it's happened to someone else.

I do not know a whole lot about this. When I go to your website, it leaves data on my browser that I guess is a cookie or other tracking. Does that go in the header? Like is there something there you are not thinking about that would force the header down?
User: dan y 11 years ago
The header is set at 0. Even at the default of 100 the top of the image is at 160 so it shouldn't get clipped behind a header. Then of course, I'm a real novice at all this. I just can't find anything that would clip the font saved as an image in that area. It is interesting that if I bring the image/font to the front and then 'lock' it in the front position and then quit the application, when I open it again and go to the page, many times I can see that the 'arrange' option will show 'bring to front'. Then again, it may not but if I take it to the back and then bring back to the front it's fine when saved.

So, support? Do you have any ideas on what's happening?

I just noticed in the screen grab that the title 'Dana Point Life' has moved up and is in a different position in relation to the second line above the photo slider. The tail of the 'f' in life should be running below the second line like in the correct photo. When the photo/text gets cut off the tail of the 'f' is quite a bit above the line. It's as if it just repositioned itself up.

What usually solves the problem is moving the "Text as Image" object and moving it back, then republishing...

When you resort to converting text to image - especially for a key item like a website name - you really need to insert it using an <img> tag or a widget so that you can enter alt text for search engine spiders.

In this case the image is named shape_55.png so you should change the file name to something descriptive like Dana-Point-Life-Website.png and insert it with some similarly descriptive alt text.
