I take it I have to select the @2x photos in the assets list. Choosing the other, does not upload the retina images on my iPhone.

| I asked about retina images last night in General Discussion, still awaiting an answer. It sounds to me like we only need to use a @2x image now, but want to make sure before doing more. | |

Yeah, I saw that. The file size of the @2x image is always going to be bigger though so it makes sense to upload two pics if only the smaller image is needed. No?

| I am hoping a short explanation comes or a point to one. I do not understand enough to make my own call. I am one that figures they can make the system halve the image or something | |

Why not forget about the retina thing a use common sense to make your like easier? If you have uploaded images for a slideshow on your traditional website that are at least 800px wide, will that not be enough quality for a retina device such as a smart phone with a screen width of less than 400px? EverWeb inserts images as the background to a div which means that - as far as the search engine spiders are concerned - they don't actually exist on the web page. That's why you should insert then using a code or a widget. Slideshows, on the other hand, insert them using an <img> tag so you, the user, has to select which image is used when you are creating the slideshow. A smart phone slideshow should have almost square images so that the image and its caption can be seen at the same time. The visitor should be able to swipe through all the images without having to scroll vertically. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
