Using EasyWeb on different computer

User: Yelena 13 years ago
I have a question. If I start a project in EasyWeb on one computer and then need to finish it on another can I transfer it? So far I don't see an option to add or import anything... In IWeb I can copy Domain files and then open in IWeb on the second computer...

You can transfer it, just copy it from

username/Library/Application Support/EasyWeb/

Eventually we will let you share websites over dropbox.

For sharing between your own Macs its more convenient to use iCloud.

I outlined the method of sharing iWeb Domain.sites2 files on this page...

I have an iCloud alias in my File Dock. I can drag any docs I want to share between my Macs into - iCloud/com~apple~shoebox/Documents

I guess my question is more about how to make that transported file open on a different computer. Does opening EasyWeb automatically opens that file? Even if there is another site there already?

You can have multiple websites in that location so when you opened EasyWeb you will see them listed in the Projects window.

When you drop the file into - username/Library/Application Support/EasyWeb - it will come up in the list of recent projects when you open EasyWeb.

What kind of results could we expect from, Terminal:

Main workstation:
`ln -s ~/Library/Application Support/EverWeb ~/Dropbox/Development/`

Additional workstation(s):
`mv ~/Library/Application Support/EverWeb ~/Library/Application Support/EverWeb.old`
`ln -s ~/Dropbox/Development/EverWeb ~/Library/Application Support/`

My only concern is that if I forget to close down EverWeb on one system and edit it on another and then hit save out of order, I might b0rk the changes that were just made on the device that did not get in the last save...
