Now that I'm working on Mobile direct pages, wouldn't it be great to just be able to Preview these from Everweb. Same as iPad. I understand there are simulators for this. But if we could keep it all in house, it would be awesome.

Apple provides us with an excellent, free tool for doing this. I have updated the instructions for downloading & installing Xcode, finding the iOS Simulator.app and creating an alias to launch it easily. Click the iOS Simulator tab to scroll down to it - smoothly of course! http://everwebcodebox.com/code/testing.html You should also check out this topic to see why you should test your main website in the iPad simulator. Then you will find out how unsuitable it is for viewing on this device! Remember, more and more visitors are going to be viewing this version of your site on tablets and less on computers. Its better to design the main site for iPads using a narrower page width with button links, CTA's and full screen options for movies and sliders. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Okay, I'm downloading Xcode now. It's 2.46 GB though! I still look forward to EverWeb providing us with this in Preview. Thanks Paul!

You don't actually need Xcode unless you are thinking about creating an alternative to EverWeb. The iOS Simulator is just a little app buried inside it.

The iOS Simulator app doesn't seem to work independently without Xcode. Xcode is over 6 GB's. The Simulator is 1.6 MB! When I delete the Xcode app (or drag it into trash), the simulator app no longer works :(

What I meant was that you don't have to open and use Xcode. You do have to have it installed. Unfortunately, V1.7 of EverWeb has made this kind of useless because every item using jQuery is now broken when viewing the local files. Make sure you create and test your mobile website before even thinking about installing V1.7. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Thanks. I'm not updating yet. ON another note, I'm still having problems with "Preview". I've added a back arrow using the Special Character set and have since changed it. The first one keeps showing up when I preview. Even after emptying the cache. Same occurs in Safari, FF and Chrome. It's obviously previewing something that's been cached... somewhere. Edit: I just realized this is in the Feature section. Too late, but it's probably a bug. One of my coloured banners is showing up white and it should be red! Same thing. You should start a new topic with this. Red is what you put in… http://cleetche.com/mobi-movie-clips/images/mobi-movie-clips/shape_9.png … so red is what I see. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
