Paul, I recently re-created an iWeb site in Everweb, using the same basic design for an artists group. I am using the standalone version of Everweb, and I use FTP publishing to a private server. In order to upload the new website, I removed all the files and folders in the FTP subdirectory that the iWeb site was in.

When I try to publish directly to FTP, Everweb seems to stop halfway through the upload, resulting in only 1/2 the pages and a partly filled image folder. I then tried a different tact. I wiped the files on the FTP site, re-published to a local folder, then uploaded the published files to to the FTP site using Fetch. This resulted in a working site. I then made some minor changes and tried to do a "publish changes" directly to FTP via Everweb, but the changes didn't appear to take. In order to get the site up and running, I reverted to re-publishing the entire site to local folder then to the FTP site via Fetch.
I would very much like to figure out how I can revert to publishing changes directly to FTP. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
