Viewing switch between laptop and desktop

switch between laptop and desktop

User: John W. 9 years ago
I built my site using my macbook pro. I just set up my new iMac and could use the extra screen size for all the obvious reasons. I can't figure out how to access the site from the desktop.

I downloaded ever web and the program recognizes my account (paid membership) and it recognizes that I have a hosted domain. However, I can't figure out how to open my current website to work on it.

So the specific question is: How do I go back and forth between the laptop and the desktop from a standpoint of editing the web site?

Thanks,
John Warner

It's easy with Dropbox. Take the project file from the location: username/Library/Application Support/EasyWeb/
place the file in dropbox or any other online storage and open up that file whenever you want to make changes. Once you remove it from the location above, it won't appear in the main dialog box when you launch EW. So just make a shortcut to the file somewhere that's easy to access. I placed it on my dock. You can put this file wherever you want, Dropbox makes it easy to make changes from multiple computers.

Hey Jeff and Roddy, Thanks for the replies. Both very helpful and both worked. Also figured out how to log in to the laptop from the desktop when in range once I knew where the file was. (That part was probably way to obvious for you guys but I may be slow)

Thanks,
John
