How can I add graphics and text (not just a menu) at the top of the master page

In all the tutorials of everweb the master template shows a designed header with graphics, text and social action buttons. However, when I create a master template, the program only allows me to add a general menu for my website Whenever I create a text box and try to move it above the menu, I am not able to move the object (nor an image) above my main menu so that it appears on all my pages. How do I do this? Seem simple enough.... Thank you in advance. Last edit 9 years ago |

There's also an option to allow free dragging in the Metrics inspector.
