change a directory page back to a regular page?

User: M M. 9 years ago
I created a page as a directory, then realized I didn't want to use it as such. However, that page has become a template for other pages. So every time I duplicate that directory page, it recreates a new directory page as a sub page of the original directory page (which then has to be dragged out of that main directory page). Perhaps it doesn't matter, as it doesn't seem to interfere with the function of the site, thus far. But is there a way to keep turn a directory page back to a regular page without losing any of the edits I've made?

A directory is actually a folder - not a page. When you create a directory in EverWeb, the application creates a folder with an index.html file and some other folders for assets - ewExternalFiles, ew_js and Images.

So, the answer is no, and you need to create a regular page and copy over the content from the directory "page". More info about directories here…
