1) Image Slider does not work like it did in v1.5. Window area shows up blank. No sliding pictures.

2) Contact Form shows up as a blank space - no boxes, no words, etc.

The contact form issue was reported in this topic…

Thanks for posting it as a separate topic.

Do you have a published version of your site with the "blank" slider? If so, can you post a link?

The "blank" slider can be found at:

http://www.arttherapyassociationofoklahoma.org

It's on the Home page in the upper left corner titled "Highlights on What Art Therapy Is". There should 3 images that flow in there.

As I woke up this morning, I thought I did not take the time last night to edit it by sliding in a new Slider Widget. I'll wait a little bit before doing this so you can see the blank space.

There is no sign of a slideshow or the supporting files in your page source code. It seems that this beta really doesn't like widgets!

As always, I would advise against using a beta for a site that you are publishing to the server for the world to see. If you want to test out new features in a beta release, create a test site and publish it to a local folder.

Clicking on the logo has been the common way to get back to the homepage for along time 20+ yrs. with most sites.. Instructions to click on it to do so?

I was advised to try the beta version since I was having quite a few crashes with 1.5. The reason to use the beta was for more info provided in the Crash Reports.

Looks like I head back to the previous version to make use of the two widgets. Thanks for your help.

Hey Wes -

I'd suggest there's no need to instruct folks to click on the logo to return to the home page. Like you say - it's been that way forever plus it looks a bit messy. I don't think I've seen any site add instructions for that in many years.
Nice site. Shows a lot of work.

Every once in awhile I will see a site that has a 'Click on logo on any page to return to home' near top of home page. The sites are usually aimed at seniors.

You must be rummaging through different sites than I do :-)
I give in that some seniors might need a bit of guidance but it still looks messy.
Let the target audience for the site be the guide.

Click on the logo of this page, and the pages that you go to during the day. I think you'll find it's a pretty normal practice...

I agree. My point wasn't that clicking on the logo takes one to the home page. I've been doing that since my NetScape days.
My point was it's rare to see text on the page " 'Click on logo on any page to return to home".
I don't remember when I saw that last it's been so long.

Widgets won't export in the latest beta. I am publishing another one now that fixes this issue.
