I have multiple pages with missing images. Some pages my browser says "Images Not Found" other pages show nothing. All images are jpeg's. The one image that is visible is a .pct file. I published my website to a folder from Everweb and then uploaded it to my FTP via Transmit to a sub-domaiin for testing. All files uploaded including all image files. When I preview the website with the Everweb preview tool everything is there and functional. Any trouble shooting tips and advice would be greatly appreciated! |

It would appear that you didn't upload the ewExternalFiles folder.

| Thanks Roddy but the ewExternalFiles folder was uploaded to my FTP and has all the images in it. Yet the browser displays image missing. | |

Open the published folder on your Mac and double click the index.html file to launch it in the browser. Is that version working OK?

If the local version of the site is working fine then it means that the files are not uploaded correctly to the server. If your FTP application allows you to show both the local files on your Mac and the remote files on the server within the same window you need to compare them to make sure all the files are actually on the server and that they are in the correct location. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | Thanks Roddy - I scanned through and compared every file and folder and they are identical. I'm going to try replacing the photos with smaller files sizes and different image names. Just wondering if there a preferred image format for Everweb i.e.: .jpeg, .png or .pct? | |

Here's an image from your iWeb site you use in EW : http://www.marcosdurian.com/Home_files/Screen shot 2013-02-07 at 10.01.08 AM.jpg ![]() So there appears nothing wrong with the file. You also may want to consider using sensible file names. Last edit 11 years ago |

Roddy - I've reimported all image files as smaller jpeg's and have given them small alpha-numeric file names. I published the site in it's entirety and re-uploaded via transmit to my ftp and the problem still persist. Jumbo T - The image you shared is from my old site built with iweb. I am testing a new site built with everweb in a sub-domain that is not visible to the public. So indeed there is something wrong. |

Yes, I know it's your iWeb site : http://www.marcosdurian.com/Home.html The image is the same and it displays. So there's nothing wrong with the image(s). Why not show the EW page. |

The reason for not showing the EW site is that it needs to be tested to make sure everything is functional before replacing and deleting my old website made with iweb. What would be the point of showing a site where all the images are missing? The above screen grab is what the page looks like in the Everweb app not the Everweb hosting site. The screen grab with all the missing images files is what it looks like when uploaded to my web hosting site. |

I'd rather see the real thing instead of a picture. There are ways to find out what is wrong. Now you will never know. |

If you can post the URL to your EverWeb site here, I can try to determine what the problem is.

Hi Paul - Thanks for responding to my post. I ended up deleting the files I had uploaded via Transmit from the published folder on my mac and tried uploading directly through the Everweb app using the "Publish to FTP" which resolved all the issues. I'm not sure if that points to some kind of bug when publishing to a folder then uploading via transmit but the latter was the x-factor in fixing the issue. thx! |
