The current EW navigation menu doesn't work on Android devices as the drop-down doesn't stay open. Given that the market share of Android far exceeds that of IOS and that of tablets is rapidly overtaking desktops, EW needs a Nav menu with drop-downs that works on Android tablets and smartphones ASAP. | I agree. No menu works on android tablet or phone. On top of that I was wondering why this doesn't load as a Mobile Page. | |

If you do some research, you will find that it's Android that is the problem. So making demands is rather futile, if the culprit won't cooperate. Here's a site that claims its dropdown menus work on Android : http://css3menu.com/index.html So find out and create your own menus. |

Using Safari on my iPhone 4, the drop downs flash and sometimes stay open. When they stay open, they do not work when tapped on. If I am looking at the EW home page and get Support drop down to stay, when I tap on Forum tab, the video behind it plays. I can get a mobile site for EW on iPhone, but it is wonky and opens to about a third of the screen. |

Any website which is to be viewed on a mobile device requires a navigation menu that is suitable for that type of device. In general, a pure CSS drop down menu is not and needs to be supplemented with some javascript to allow drop down on click. The mobile version of the site should be as compact as possible and, in most case, will have a lot less pages than the conventional one. A single level menu will normally suffice and will return to a second row on narrow screens when more items are added. Ideally, a second navigation widget should be available to EW users for the mobile version of the site. Until such times as this becomes reality, there are some examples on these pages which are fairly easy to implement for those with a desire to learn and some patience. http://everwebcodebox.com/mobile/pop-up-nav.html http://everwebcodebox.com/mobile/drop-down-nav.html http://everwebcodebox.com/mobile/2-level-menu.html Make sure that navigation links are big enough for easy finger tapping and replace text navigation links with CTA buttons. If your mobile website looks like a squashed down version of the main one then you will know that your design has failed miserably! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Please, help me out with this. There must be a solution in EW. Sites made by EW with the default dropdown menu must work correctly. In Post#5 by Roddy there is something interesting: it needs some supplement in js! What is the supplement please.
