Can we have a tutorial (if one does not already exist; I've not seen any yet upon searching) on how to make widgets properly? After poking around a bit within the existing widgets, it appears you presently use PHP, such as in the Contact Form widget. Can we also us Ruby or other languages of our choice if we use one that has a proper interpreter that is already shipped with OS X? Interested to understand the details behind widget expansion. ------------------------------- Custom application and web developer. A widget is a package, a folder with the ewwdgt extension. In it is at least an info.xml file. You have to study the current widgets to learn what each element in the widget is and does. I made this one, based on the default video widget : http://trotter.is-best.net/newvideo/ Last edit 11 years ago |
