I am about to Upload my Website. However, I get this notice about copyright. All Text, and Pictures are mine. However; I have one page on my musical Taste that I have not applied the © to. Its several songs from my iTunes Playlist. But they are MP3 copies made for my use. Is it okay to use these so long as they MP3 copies. All photosare mine (I took all the recent ones, and the older ones are in Family Albums-my family owns the Originals) and all PDF's Related to ancestry were sent to me by Ancestry.com and downloaded. I am planning on doing a Page on Recipes. However I have so many that it may take a couple of months to add them all. So I left off for now. |

That message just reminds you to make sure that you do actually own the copyright or publishing rights to the content you are putting online.

Well, it was a Great idea. I have one tune that is part of another page that is so old I doubt seriously this version even has a Copyright the tune Wreck of the Old 97' The reason it relates to the Page is That the same Rail Road (D&W) had a Line that went by mother's Grand parents house. Her Grandmother sold meals to train Crew and my mother delivered them. Its so old it was actually recorded from one of those Victrola's that used the cylinders. this version should be in Public Domain. I am hoping I ca use that. |

It's quite amazing what Google will come up with in a matter of seconds… "According to the Blue Ridge Institute at Ferrum College, "The Wreck of the Old 97" also produced "the first major lawsuit involving copyright" when David Graves George subsequently sued RCA Victor Company, claiming original authorship of the ballad." ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
