email problems

User: Nigel J. 11 years ago
Hi Guy's,
I've recently been receiving lots of unwanted emails from domain email account - undeliveral mail warnings. In an attempt to stop this I visited everweb publishing page section Email Address - deleted my email address, then recreated it. Configured the email, but couldn't connect online. When checking email online I'm told the login is invalid (although I could access this earlier). I tried connection doctor, which tells me that mail was unable to connect to the internet:

Any help/advice will be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Deleting your email isn't going to fix this issue. You will just end up deleting all the email in your account.

One of two things happened;

1. Someone figured out your email password and sent emails from your account

2. More likely, someone just set up your email as reply to email address so you are getting all the bounce back notifications. Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about this. You can set up a filter in your email client to ignore these.

In any case you should change your password so it was different than before.

If you are having trouble with your email passwords login to your client area and go to Services->My Services and then click View Details next to your domain. Then click Email Accounts to change your password there.

You may also want to use the unban IP feature just in case.

Thank you for prompt response.

Have changed password via my services as described above. When checking "email online" on publishing page, it takes me to Webmail - which tells me my login is invalid - so I can't check anything out or filter. Mac connection doctor continues to tell me this account is offline.

I had already deleted original email address - and recreated it. Important I get this operational quickly.
