Ever since I upgraded to 1.5, I have experienced difficulties uploading files: In all cases, the app hangs halfway through. What I have had to do is "Stop" the uploading where it hangs and re-upload. I may have to do this two to three times. I also emptied the entire site folder on the server and experienced the same problems. The process required five (5) start-stop-start attempts. Lastly, it takes A LOT of time to only Publish Site Changes—I make a change in the wording of text on one page, and the upload process as shown in the Site Publishing Settings window still goes through all my other pages, photo galleries, etc. Yes, I am selecting 'site changes' and not the 'entire site.' The site is small, and to make a change to a single word on a page just took over three minutes to upload! My upload speed runs a consistent 9Mb/second. Too slow... L C |

This could indicate a problem with your web server if the upload hangs. Do you get any error messages? Do you know how to check the console on your computer for error messages written there by EverWeb? Just enter console in spotlight to open it and see any possible errors. As for the publishing the entire site you'll see that EverWeb just goes through each page, it doesn't upload files that it doesn't have to. It needs to go through every page on your server to make sure that it is actually there incase a page had been deleted Version 1.6 will improve the publishing process though. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Dear Paul, No error messages. I will run the console next time around. Looking forward to v. 1.6. I appreciate the response. Best, L C |

Five hours later, still can't get the site up. It appears to be hanging on the contained videos (maximum size 19.2MBs). I emptied another site I have on the same server. Uploaded using iWeb (larger site with larger files). No issue. It can't be the server or my ISP. Suggestions? |

It can still be the server. Ask them if all passive ports are opened. EverWeb uses passive FTP connections which all servers should support.
