I am having a slight problem with the 'Photo Link' widget as it will not let me resize images although quite often works if I quit & re-open ever web. Has any one else experienced this? Last edit 11 years ago |

When you insert an image using the HTML <img> tag, changing the width will automatically adjust the height to maintain the aspect ratio of the image - unless you tell it to do otherwise! For quickly adjusting images, increase or decrease the widget width using a drag handle and then adjust the widget height to suit. For more precision, use the metrics inspector. Images are best imported into EverWeb at the actual size required on the page. I have used both the Photo and the Photo Link widgets on almost every page of the Widgetbox site and these are the steps I take… Crop or adjust the image size Get Info (command i} to get the width and height Drag the image into Assets and drag the widget onto the page Enter the image width and height into the metrics inspector and check the "Constrain proportions" box Enter alt text and, in the case of the Photo Link, enter the file path and check the box for new window if required Once you have set the image size to obtain the correct aspect ration and checked the Constrain proportions box, the overall image size can easily be adjusted using just one drag handle. HI Roddy. I import the images at 330px wide the same size that they appear on the page but I also copy them to a gallery page (which is a snapshot of our whole stock on one page) on this page I resize to 165px wide. Either using drag handle or entering in size box, sometimes the box moves but not the image, if I quit & re-open ever web it tends to fix it self but sometimes I have to do this several times to fix it. Of course this morning it is working fine, I will take a snapshot next time it happens. Kind regards. Andy |

This used to happen to me in the past but not with EW 1.4.
