I have four questions about Everweb. My website is currently built on iWeb08 v2.0.4. The files reside on an Intel iMac running OSX 10.4.11. I would like to migrate to Everweb and run it on a brand new iMac running OSX 10.9.3. Question 1) What is the most elegant way to make this happen? My current protocol is to make changes periodically then optimize the website with WebCrusher. This seems to work very well as my site has a lot of high resolution photography will full page bleed yet each page opens very quickly. Question 2) Is the optimization process necessary with Everweb and if so are Everweb and Webcrusher compatible? I would like to produce full page images of before-after pictures of kitchens my cabinet shop produces. Question 3) Can Everweb produce rollover effects similar to dreamweaver? I read a list of feature updates for Everweb and I see that it can now group objects. That is a great feature and one that was missing from the version of i-Web I was using. In i-Web it was difficult to understand how a site was composed without a lot of scrolling. This was especially tedious if the webpage was very tall. Question 4) Will Everweb allow the site builder to zoom in & out to see how the layout composes globally? |

Hi Tim, Thanks for your interest in EverWeb. 1. and 2. You should publish directly with EverWeb. Although it does not yet contain all the WebCrusher features, it will allow some optimizations within the software for your images. 3. Yes, under the Shape Settings tab in the Inspector where it says Fill at the top. Change Normal to Mouse Over or Mouse Down. 4. Not yet, but it is a feature we would like to add. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
