help with image slider

User: spyboynola 9 years ago
I am using the EW slider on my website and everything is fine until you tap or swipe images on iPad or iPhone and the image freaks out. I have click to enlarge off and image crop to fit. I bought and tried some third party widgets but they only allow one slider per page. I am using the slider to present images as event listings by the week so I need 4-5 per page to present a months worth of music listings. This would not be so bad except i am doing listings for 25 clients. The third party sliders did not freak out as far as image presentation but the mechanics did not work as every image gets a little dot on every slider so if you have 4 sliders on page and 7 images per slider widget then very slider has 28 little dots when only 7 are associated to that particular slider. I could do with only swipe action and no little dots just fine. Can the EW slider be modified to present images like the third party slider widget upon clicking or tapping. Am I choosing wrong options? Any suggestions?
All this can be viewed at www.spyboy4u.com. The clubs with the third party widgets are Irvin Mayfields and HI HO Lounge, EW slider widget is used on all the other completed pages. BTW the EW slider works well on computer only acts up on mobile device where swiping and taping go on. Thanks

I would suggest that you use the Caption Swipe Gallery widget which you got with the slideshow pack.

Using this widget you can have several thumbnail images per page - each of which can launch a different slider.

The "thumbnails" can be made a lot larger then normal if required and each could have a text box with a description of the slider content. This way you can include several per page - one for each club.

If you look at the demo, you'll see that the actual slideshow is full screen, responsive with captions and can be finger swiped on mobile devices.

The slideshow also has manual controls and a play/pause button for those who visit your site using computers.
