If I don't create a mobile version of my web site, how would it look if viewed on a mobile device? If I do create a mobile version, do I have to recreate the master pages as well as the regular pages.? I've never done any of this before, consequently my questions are very basic. John Engberg |

Your website will look just as it does on the desktop, just scaled down for your mobile device. You can create a master page just for your mobile pages. Most people have one long mobile page instead of creating a new page for each page on their site. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Since I haven't published my site yet, I'm unable to test the preview version. I'm not sure I'd like one long page for a mobile version. This is a site for our church. It's got 27 pages. Some change infrequently, but many of them change every week/month. If I used one long page how would I use the navigator? Would I link it to a title or some text John Engberg |

When I create mobile sites for a desktop site, they're often abbreviated... For the most part I feel that when I search or find a business on the web while on my mobile device, it's more about getting quick (useful) info. about the business, phone numbers, location etc... I make the fonts and everything a bit bigger and less photos... My 2¢ : ) S ------------------------------- MacBook Pro 15in Retina 10.14.6 Nevada, U.S.A Apple since OS 7.1 LE II (pizza box) |

Some guidelines for creating a smart phone site HERE I agree with Steve about cutting the content to the minimum. Most mobile phone users will just leave your site if they see a squashed down conventional website. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Based on your advice and documentation, and what I've since seen of some mobile sites, I think I'll keep it to one short page. John Engberg |
