Hi there, very successfully I transferred about 4 of my webpages from iweb to everweb. The video tutorials have been very helpful. Please keep this up! :) But I have one page, I still refuse to transfer to everweb, because of my problem in the gallery. Compare: Webseite Schwarzwald-Bodensee-Urlaub - made with iweb to my gallery on /1/]Lohashotels.de (This gallery is not supposed to be on this website, I took it only in for demonstrate my problem, because this website already exists successfully). CAN YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN PICTURE QUALITY ? (also I think pictures could be bigger, because they are bigger at iweb) Imagine... it would be possible to have it at the same size at everweb like at iweb. It would look still more "pixelish" To explain step by step I did. - exactly like you showed in the video tutorial. at lohashotels.de I took the pictures directly out of the iweb export folder and transferred them to everweb. and still the pictures less great then made with iweb ( schwarzwald-bodensee-urlaub here before I loaded them up, I used webcrusher). And I added as a attachment 3 pictures i took out of iweb export folder (not iweb crushed) which I imported to everweb... |

The images used in the iWeb version have a higher resolution than the ones used in the EW gallery - that's the difference. I would not want to use images that have been processed by another application if I was concerned with quality. iWeb, for example, has an "Optimize Images on Import" feature which is turned on by default. I always manipulate the images to the size that they will be required on the web page before importing them. This will be posted in the bug report forum also, now that I see it happening on your site also. When I click to view your gallery in your Everweb site above - say I click through 4 pictures and close gallery viewer. I have to hit the back button 5 times to get back to this forum. 4 pics plus one landing page = 5 back button clicks to get back to this post on the forum. I have noticed this also in my own sites. I view some of my galleries in preview mode and have to click back as many pictures as I have looked at. If you look at the URL it is changing as you go back - it is scrolling back through the pictures even though they are closed! This is not very cool....any one else see this? Is this a bug or is this the way the app works? |
