I would like to suggest that EW starts to use their CSS in an externally sved file. Right now each page is filled with all this extra CSS that is for 99 % the same across various pages. This makes loading pages slower then it should as the ration of source code versus content is too large. Allowing the CSS for the site to be saved in a SITENAME.CSS file makes loading much faster, files get smaller. |

EverWeb does save common CSS in a single site wide file. The CSS included on each page is unique to that page. Although there is some room for improvement, EverWeb does do this to some extent and we are working on improving it further. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

A CSS file has almost zero download time in comparison with media files. The first place to look when trying to improve download performance is at the images. Optimize them before import to the actual size required on the page. Avoid the use of images for shapes and shadows. Prevent audio and video players from preloading and so on... ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
