Can anyone take a look at the Logo on my site I am working on please (harveyimages.co.uk). I have used a png file in my header to the left of site name, but the outline and text is very poor quality. The original file size is about 1980 pixels longest edge. How do I import to assets without loosing quality when I want it to be viewed on larger screens???? |

What size was the image that you imported into EverWeb?

Try importing the image at the actual size that it will be displayed.

I have tried at 200, 400 & the current 800 pixels on the longest edge. All the same. The text seems ilegable and the outline not smooth, unlike the header site name which stays crisp viewed at any screen size. Thanks for suggestion though. |

What are you using to reduce the image size? It looks like an image that has been stretched up from a small one rather than a large image that has been reduced.

I had the original Logo created for me and I have the Adobe Illustrator file and re-sized it with Photoshop CS6 and saved as PNG. The Ai file looks great on my Mac, even when zoomed in. NOT sure what I am doing wrong though. I have tried using the png file without re-sizing (still looks bad) ??? |

If your copy of Adobe Illustrator supports it, save the image as svg. Then it scales perfect. Use the img html element in a HTML snippet to display it on the page. http://trotter.is-best.net/includes/harvey.html (Ignore the image, I haven't a steady hand) http://www.adobe.com/inspire/2013/09/exporting-svg-illustrator.html |

I am having the same issue as well. my logo is a high quality PNG file with transparent background, it looks fine when working in Everweb, yet when I preview... it is blurry, pixelated, and has no detail. I am using the "personal trainer" template. I've also noticed the default Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr icons also become slightly blurry. Thank you. |

EW does a poor job resizing images while preserving the quality. Here's a page with png images that shows the difference. http://trotter.is-best.net/includes/image.html For your pleasure to compare : Resized by EW : ![]() Original :

Hi Jumbo Thanks for info. I have now tried saving as SVG with AI, but still no joy. I might have missed something though. The text copied into my HTML snippet does not look the same as your example, the following do not show in my code (‹img src & image size) Do I use standard or mini html snippet please. Any idea what I have not done correctly please?? Cheers again |
