Working with 'footer'?

I've got a master page. I want to create a 'footer' on the master page - company name, copyright symbol - and ideally I want this footer to appear on the bottom of each page, right below where I've created my content. My pages have different lengths. I'm at a loss how to do this. Or is it actually possible? All ears, Ben |

The pages length increases when you put content into it. So create your Master page with a footer and then keep creating other pages. Text and objects you place into the body of that page will push the footer down....

Thank you Yelena, got it. I think I might have a corruption somewhere. Some pages work fine, some the footer is WAY down below. I think I'll rebuild the problem pages. Very much appreciated. Ben |

Check the layout (Window>Show Layout), you might have something placed - like a Text Box- that you may not see...

Ooops. Can't seem to fix it. I have a footer in my Master page. I create a new page, use the master page as template, add my content. The foot doesn't seem to move down automatically - it's appearing halfway down my content page, in the middle of everything. I've tried starting from scratch. Having the same issues. I'm getting two different results. On one page the footer is WAY down at the bottom, and there seems to be an extra (when highlighted) blue box in between the page box and the footer box. I have vague memories of this being something that happened with iWeb too, but forgot how to fix it. And the next page has the footer in the middle of the page (but no extra blue box in there, when highlighted). I'm wondering what I'm doing to foul things up? |

Ben, I am not a professional here but here is what I think from my personal experience... Where you have the footer WAY DOWN just delete the blue box - I assume you are not using it... On other pages it seems that something is placed in the footer or spilling over.... Whatever it is make sure it is placed inside the body of content and that the "Allow free dragging" is NOT selected in the Inspector. Seems it not placed properly... But then of course there might be a bug - happens...:) Try to create another site and see if you have same issues. My feeling is you are placing something wrong.... ------------------------------- Yelena MacBook Pro OS X 10.10.3 IMac 21" OS X 10.10.3 |
