Hi Steve I had a problem once opening a site in EW and Paul advised the following below. Don't know if this would help you out 1. Restart your computer 2. Delete your EverWeb Preferences in ~/Library/Application Support/EverWeb Use the Go menu and select 'Go to Folder' and enter the above in there. Then delete the com.ragesw.everweb.xml file Launch EverWeb Good luck! Simon |

EverWeb 1.4b4 will not work on 10.6.8. The next beta will. I highly recommend you upgrade your OS though. Apple no longer support 10.6. Security updates are no longer provided and 10.9 is free and works on most computers that will run 10.6. Developer tools offered by Apple no longer support or provide fixes for 10.6. Apple recently made a change that basically means all new apps in the App Store will need 10.7 or later for some core functionality. There will come a time when 10.6 won't be able to be supported anymore. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

This computer came with Lion and after a few weeks of torture using that junk, I put Snow Leopard on it. If you guys are going to discontinue support for Snow Leopard, I suggest someone should get working on making EverWeb a standalone application to where I do not have to login to use it, because I did not purchase it to not be able to use it 6 or 7 months later. If that's your plan, we need to discuss a refund right now, because if this application stops working after the 90 day money back period, you will essentially have stolen from me and every other user who has purchased your application and refuses to be forced into upgrading for the sake of using it. |

HI Steve, Sorry for the confusion. Firstly, even when we discontinue support for 10.6 (which is a long way off) you can always use the last version of EverWeb that works with 10.6. Just because you have to login to use it, doesn't mean it will stop working if we don't support 10.6. The version you have will always work no matter what. I am just trying to provide you with some suggestions based on what Apple has recently done and prepare you. With technology, things become outdated and sometimes, though it is difficult, you have to move along with the trend. It is NOT us who will be discontinuing support for 10.6, it is Apple and I was just trying to point out that inevitably future versions of apps will not be compatible with 10.6. Existing software that works on 10.6 will not stop functioning, you just wouldn't be able to get updates. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Along with the widgets I purchased from Roddy's codebox site and some of the assistance I've received on the forum here, I'm almost able to utilize the application in it's current form to match the same use I was getting out of iWeb, so as long as I have that level of performance, updates don't really concern me. I'll wait for the next Beta then and look forward to using the application untethered from an internet connection. Thanks. |
