I've got a few image galleries on my website that have image of varying sizes. Currently in the everweb program, they have very similar sizes, but after publishing, they reverted to their original sizes. For example, you can see the gallery near the bottom of the home page of my website. Thank you for your time. ------------------------------- Flowers and Such |

The EverWeb gallery and slider widgets uses the same image for both the thumbnail and the large image so you need to import an image that is as big as you want it be be in the slideshow. When a gallery like this is created using code, it's normal practice to create separate thumbnails and enlarged images. The thumbnails are cropped to a uniform small size but the large images can be any size or aspect ratio. Here's an example done in EverWeb… http://everwebcodebox.com/sliders/shadowbox.html Here's another example using the Lightbox Gallery widget… http://everwebcodebox.com/widgets-2/lightbox-gallery.html Note the size of the large images. With this widget the thumb and large images can have different captions and there's also provision for adding alt text for SEO. The slideshow part of lightbox galleries is responsive which means it doesn't matter what size the large image is. It will be sized responsively to fit the available viewport of the browser or device it is viewed on. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Well, looks like I have to bite the bullet and do a lot of re-sizing. I appreciate your reply, Roddy.

Quote: Currently in the everweb program, they have very similar sizes, but after publishing, they reverted to their original sizes Can you show me an example of what they look like within EverWeb? It shouldn't look any different. You can take a screenshot by holding down the COMMAND and SHIFT keys on your keyboard and then pressing the number 3. An image file will appear on your desktop. Click the advanced button here next to Post Reply to attach a screenshot. Version 1.4 introduces new features to the image gallery. One that provides an option to have all the images either the same height, the same width, or the same height and width. It is currently being tested and we hope to release it shortly. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Well, I've switched to my other computer, now, and the images in EverWeb are now the same size as they appear after being published. I'm guessing there was just something odd going on with my other computer. Anyway, I'm excited for this new version; I hope it can help me out with this issue.

I am currently using EverWeb on three different computers, and on my third computer, the images again look different in EverWeb, as seen in the attachment. However, I haven't published from this computer, but maybe I will try and see if I can so that the images stay the same after publishing. Anyway, this screenshot is also how the images looked on my original computer that I reported my question with, and they still published differently.
