Not sure if already mentioned / wished by someone else. But I would really love to have a way to switch from WYSIWYG to HTML editor where I can edit / add HTML code directly. I know, it's a bit dangerous for the less experienced users... |

I don't know why you would want to edit the code created by EverWeb and the HTML Snippet - along with the Header/Footer code boxes - will allow just about any type of code insertion. I suppose Flux is probably the best app for web design if you want a hybrid but, as you will find out if you try it, combining drag and drop and code editing just create a lot of confusion and a big learning curve. I use Rage WebDesign app for coding and, for those who are capable of creating their own code, it is the best WYSIWYG editor around. The EverWeb Codebox website is the first conventional website I have created in a long time since I've been doing the front end coding for responsive designs. I was quite surprised how time consuming it is c/w writing my own stylesheets and HTML. I am using EW to create a site demonstrating what can be done with the software - otherwise I would be using WebDesign. For those who do need an editor, WebDesign is no longer being developed and you can get a free serial number HERE. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! All this can be done using the snippet and the code boxes.

Before EW was released I tried three different website building tools, flux was one of them... I figured a simple way to start would be to try and re-create my iWeb site - which was fairly basic. I never managed to finished the home page and gave up within a couple of days! Had I succeeded in making the site, I would then have had the continual pain of publishing, renting separate servers etc to get it live... I don't mind editing code but unless you are prepared to invest some serious time getting frustrated with Flux (it's not very intuitive) it's not for the average/non-code writer. Roddy is right, just use the head/foot code boxes and HTML snippet with EW - you get the same result with more smiles... and support! ... obviously, not everything is possible with EW. For example Accordions when expanding can't push objects/code below them around but hopefully, in time, the guys from Rage will have a workaround for the majority of these more 'interactive/dynamic' needs. If there is something you need EW to do, post it in the forum... good old saying, if you don't ask, you won't get. If more people want/support your needs it'll hopefully happen at some point.
