I just downloaded the latest update. When I opened my site, I got an error message and the program closed (crashed). When I opened my project, every page was gone!!!! I have a back up, but it doesn't include any of my latest additions. Anyway to recover from this? Thank you. P.S. This was a project, not a published website. Last edit 12 years ago |

Hi James, Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. Did the crash report ask for your name and email? Did you fill that in and send it to us? OR Did the software crash and did you get a button asking you to Report the crash to Apple? If so, did you copy and paste the crash report into an email to us? If you we don't get the crash report then there is now way for us to know what the problem is and we cannot provide any sort of advice. However, if this happened RIGHT after you opened your website and BEFORE you made any changes, then you shouldn't have lost any work. It sounds like you didn't just open your site and get an error message. It sounds like you made some changes and then it crashed. I couldn't say. The error message didn't last long enough. I just reloaded a copy of the Everweb folder in the users library and everything seems to be fine. If it happens again, I will try and get the error message and send it to you. Thank you for answering. |
