Hi – I have just noticed something odd and hope someone here can put me right or this may be a software problem which will need to be fixed. When I group several items and then change their location on the page by entering new co-ordinates in the X and Y fields in the Position box, all the items in the group take on the new co-ordinates separately, rather than the group as a whole taking on the new co-ordinates. The reason I want to group my items together in the first place is because I want them to keep their position in the group relative to each other. When I enter new co-ordinates for the group I want the group as a whole to move to that location, I don't then expect items within the group to move around independently. The above was a frustrating find because I have just purchased a licence and am now noticing other things I hadn't before. When I copy and paste text in from an application like Pages, some of the formatting seems to be kept, even if I select all the copy in a text box and re-format it, when I click off the box and re-select the text, the formatting is not highlighted within the text palette which is worrying! Any help appreciated, thanks. |
