I need to transfer to EverWeb an iWeb site with a couple of large albums (portfolio), about 300 images each. In iWeb I have used the internal photo album. In Everweb I've tried with the Image Gallery, but it's absurd to have 300 thumbnails in one page, so I've used the Image Slider, but it allow only 30 assets. I've also used, with some difficult, a couple of beyondiweb Javascript as HTML snippets (jQuery slideshow) but with a strange result: when previewing the pages with the snippet inside, the background of these pages become white, so I can't use the snippet. I would have thought that 30 images per slideshow is rather on the high side! Code from iWeb snippets should not be copied over to EverWeb "as is" since EW uses true code injection and iWeb does not. Maybe for people that only need to publish some photo about some travel.... if you take a look to the albums on FB you will see many more photos in each album, also to remember a beautiful travel. But many people use albums in their sites for other things: portfolios, products images, locations descriptions, etc. It would be nice to have an integrated slideshow with no limit for the number of photos, like the usual iWeb albums. Thank you, Paul, it's a good tutorial for a dozen of photos, but, as I wrote before, I've two album with 300 images each. It's quite impossible to split so many times my albums. If I can give you a suggestion, you could enhance EverWeb in two ways: 1) Allow a free number of assets in the Image Slider widget or 2) Split in pages the thumbnails of the Image Gallery (as in iWeb) Thanks for your patience |
