Updating website from more than one computer

User: Jonathan A. 10 years ago
I have offered to build a website using EverWeb for an organisation to which I belong. They asked if other individuals can update the website from their home computers. Can this be done online from another mac or pc? Thanks

EverWeb is web design software which is only available for OS X at the moment so, obviously, you cannot update a site online or from a computer running Windows.

You can share the project file with other Mac users and you can update items such as newsletters independent of the software if they are displayed on the web page using an iframe.

You would need to purchase a license for each user that wants to update the site. You can share the site as shown in this video;

You can only use EverWeb on OS X.

OK, so double the cost, even although one person does the publishing. Don't think the not for profit organisation I work with will want to pay twice.
Thanks for replying so promptly.

I have a desktop (imac) and a laptop (Macbook Air). To use both, does this mean that I have to purchase two licenses?

Only one license is required for one individual user.

Getting ready to purchase ever web. I need to have ever web on my Mac Pro (where iWeb is) for recreating my iWebsites, I would like to be able to work on them from my MBP going forward. So will purchasing one license allow me to download the software to the two different machines?
