Add an IPhone movie to EverWeb website

User: Carol Ann L. 10 years ago
I took a video with my IPhone and pulled it into IMovie to edit and join the video clips I had taken. I "shared" the movie to the smallest possible export and then used the mp4 widget to pull it into my website. No matter what I try, different widgets, smaller clips, etc. all I see on "preview" is a circle in the middle of the widget and it never loads and plays.

Any insight as to what I am doing wrong and how I can get videos taken by my IPhone or iPad into my website?

Thank you.

Make sure your movie file actually has the .mp4 extension.

Roddy, I am definitely using a .mp4 file and the MP4 widget. the file is 59.4 mb, the dimensions are 854 x 480, Codecs: AAC, H.264, duration 1.33. The name of the file is St. Patrick's Day Delray 2014 SF2.mp4.

Any ideas and thanks for replying.

File names should have no spaces and definitely no special characters like an apostrophe.

Do you mean the preview within EverWeb is just a circle? If so, that is all you will see in EverWeb. You'll be able to play it once you publish it or Preview in your browser.

No I mean when you click on Preview, drop down menu shows Safari. Then the Preview opens in Safari. That's where I get the continuous circle. I'll change the file name to see if that works.

You nailed it with the file name and I also thought the file might be too big so I split it and everything went in perfectly. Thank you!
