"Publish Site Changes" is saving entire site instead?

User: Lena Arice L. 12 years ago
It appears "Publish Site Changes" is saving the entire site instead...

It takes as long to change a font size in one sentence or a frame for an image as it did to publish entire site. A Very L-O-N-G time.

Observing from the main Publishing to EverWeb page I can see each element loading...

Are there any settings that need adjusting from your or my end so simple changes can load faster?

Thanks,
Lena

I have found this problem as well. Since the version 1.3 upgrade, my entire site has to re-upload for even the smallest changes. I don't recall this taking place before the new version. I could fix something and the progress bar would zip through until there was a changed section, then it would pause and then zip through the rest of my site. As Lena mentions above, it takes a very long time and is probably unnecessarily taxing your servers as well.

Thanks in advance,
Steven

This has been fixed in the latest 1.3.1 release.

Like most on these forms, I'm new here, and don't know what to do.
I've read the forms on "Publish Site Changes"- I too have a large site and it's re-publishing the entire site (to a third party FTP) after a small change is made on one page and selecting "Publish Site Changes"
Is the bug back in V1.9?

Yay! 1.9.5 came out saying it fixed most issues - except this one.
It still republishes the entire site; even when only changing one word on one of my 23 pages (of a total 300MB [which equal 15 minutes of upload-publish time]).

I am trying to upload a site using ftp but ever web is publishing pages I have recently deleted. I'v published the sit to a folder and only the pages that remain on my site get published. However I try to FTP publish and the deleted pages start to get published? Help please as my website is now down and I need to have it live as soon as possible.

Cheers

Can you please be more specific in how you are publishing?

1. Are you publishing to a folder and then using an FTP client to publish?

2. If EverWeb is publishing deleted pages use the 'Publish Entire Site' to have those pages removed from the temporary local folder.

3. If you are publishing changes is it PUBLISHING all pages or UPLOADING all pages?

I suggest you guys create separate forum topics for your issues and describe them in more detail, otherwise my replies will get mixed up between the 3 of you who sound like you are all having different issues
