When linking an object to a file in the Hyperlinks Inspector I would like to have the possibility 'Open in New Window' as in Link To > An External Page (see attachment)

This doesn't really work for files because files will be downloaded right away. Unless you are trying to open a PDF?

| I used it in a different way. I placed a jpg picture from the Assets tab. I did not want to use the Image Galery or Image Slider possibilities. But create a hyperlink to the placed picture and was trying to load the original external jpg in a new browser window to use the browsers zoom in/out possibilities. | |

Thanks for this answer Roddy. I am sure that this will work for you. But for me answers like this are way too much technological. And I think for the majority target group of people we are talking about here in this forum it is the same case. We are not WordPress coders. We are looking for something clean, simple, elegant and visual like EverWeb and iWeb. I'm not interested at all in applying any coding or will start to do so. All I need is a full featured WYSIWYG graphical interface solution. That's why many people like me did buy EverWeb to give it a chance and an opportunity to grow. And certainly we want EverWeb to get beter with more options. Therefore we supply comments and suggestions for things that we would like to have and become available at next releases. So despite your impressive knowledge on the coding I certainly do not need any tricknology solutions to work around EverWeb to get something done. I want solutions inside EverWeb! That's why in this case I would be be much better of with the 'Open in new Window' switch possibility in EverWeb.
