Hi, I'm back to work on my site today. I see that after a few new betas, my video snippets are still not previewing (using Sublime Video). The only way for me to correctly measure out my thumbnails, together with the video, is to publish – and then everyone gets to see my mistakes. I'm on vs 1.2 build 1173.

Okay. So this is what I started to write… I've been using Sublime video for my videos. The thumbs will preview both in EW and when I preview in a browser. But the video is always missing and the thumbs are therefore not aligned on the correct Y axis. They're always up higher. This makes it impossible to know the finished product until either publishing or doing the math… Here's the code I use. Hopefully I'm not revealing any personal link information that can't be found anyway. HTML Snippet: Edit: The code converted to pictures and thumbs! I guess I'll email... Me too, I think there may be a bug with Previews being generated. Some code I know works (as it is already on my site on other pages working fine) doesn't always preview if I put it into a new snippet. The Generating Preview message just locks-up and freezes. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... This is also the same with Roddy's widgets, sometimes they update and preview, sometimes they don't. They generally always publish though. |

It may be worth opening the Console (you can search Console in Spotlight). Then once the Console is opened type EverWeb into the top search box and see if there are any messages in there.

@Darren, no those lines are not related to this issue. @Roddy: Can you send me this project? Remember to include any custom widgets you are using. Please send project via the support system now, AND NOT to my personal address or the gmail address from before. Ok, so I have just made a video to demonstrate the Generating Preview not working for Roddy's widget and also for the HTML Snippet that is included with EW. I'll dropbox this and open a case so you can see it. (Roddy, I'll send you a link too). I have just opened the console and here is the Everweb data following the creation of the video. (The only thing I have used EW for this morning). I can open a project and the widgets aren't previewing, then they will update through time and disappear again. It's random and doesn't improve with restarting. This behavior is not confined to large sites. I create a mobile site with only 14 pages. I opened it today and about 90% of the widgets were showing the preview. The rest were not apart from two which didn't show the update applied in the previous session. Quitting and relaunching made no difference. All the snippets I have added - whether via a widget or the HTML Snippet - work when published. It wouldn't be a big deal to check them out in the browser if it didn't take so long to publish even a minor change on large sites.
