Problems Creating Hyperlinks

I am having problems with hyperlinks. On my Welcome page, I am trying to link to another external website and then also create an e-mail link. There are 2 separate text boxes that are both colour filled and have picture frames around them and the links that I want to create are the external website in the first text box and the second e-mail link is in the second text box underneath. The hyperlinks appear to be created okay within EverWeb, but when I view and test in Safari they just don't work - the external site link has not even changed colour and the e-mail link has changed colour, but does not do anything. On testing all my other links work fine, so just wondering what is happening and what I can do to fix this? Any ideas? I have re-done the text boxes, but this made no difference and I even re-made the page with the same result. |

I have just discovered what the problem is. I created and filled a couple of text boxes and placed a picture frame around both and for some reason the hyperlinks will not work when you put a picture frame around a text box. I took the picture frame off and used a line instead and tested it and the hyperlinks are now working. Not sure why, but it seems the hyperlinks will not work with picture frames around text boxes. Not sure whether it is the same for shapes, but I will try just to see. |

Okay, so I have just tried using a shape instead and for some reason the picture frame around a shape seems to stop the hyperlinks from working too. What would cause this to happen? |

The picture frames are preventing hyperlinks from working currently. It is something we are working on fixing. Sorry for the inconvenience. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Ok the same thing is happening to me, but there is no textbox on top of the image. I have created an icon to change the language within the website on the header. The other icons for contact and social media appear to be working. this flag not. Any help? www.autana.org |

Hi Thomas, This is actually a different issue that you are experiencing (the original issue has been fixed for some time already). The flag is being covered by the navigation bar. You can select the flag object and go to Arrange->Always on Top. That should fix this issue. If not, try making sure the navigation bar shape does not cover the flag. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

| The flag is already set to be always on top, and the navigation bar reaches only till a few pixels away from Home. So I cannot think it is bothering the flag or is it? If it was possible to attach an image here, I would put it how it looks in edit | |
