| Tried to see if this is already here, so apologies if I am missing it... but I am missing it from iWeb. Same as instant alpha, create lots of page graphics using these tools. Thanks. | |

Masking is under the Format menu. Instant alpha is not yet implemented.

I found Mask under the format menu, but then I can't seem to chop off the rest of the photo (meaning, I mask the area of the photo I want to have as a full-page image on my title i.e. homepage, and I want the rest to be gone!).... For now, I'm just testing EverWeb out to see if I really CAN rebuild my iWeb site. So far it's proving very challenging for this computer novice. Here's my site if you're interested! Thanks! |

Did you assign the image as the web page background? You can't mask those images you would need to add it as a shape, or drag and drop it into EverWeb's design area.

No, I didn't set assign it as the page background, nor did I in iWeb. I guess this is just a general question about re-sizing, masking and cropping photos, placing them where one wants on the page. On my site , it happened to be full-page size on the homepage, then I used the feature on subsequent pages as well, in varying formats. A very handy tool. As I said, though, the trick is then eliminating the unwanted portion of the photo around the mask. I'll try fooling around with shapes and the design area (design area?? you mean just the regular workspace?). I've already discovering "free dragging" which helped a great deal. Maybe I won't chuck my laptop out the window after all... yet. |
