Viewing Navigation and drop down menus

Navigation and drop down menus

User: Tori R. 10 years ago
Hi, having some trouble with organising directories to produce drop downs from the navigation widget. Must be doing something wrong. Have fiddled with alignment spacing etc but the colour of the drop down from a directory sub page doesn't change. And the size can't be adjusted. Or can it? Is it me or a bug?

This video shows how to create drop down menus;

http://everwebapp.com/support/video-tutorials/adding-directories-to-your-site.html

The color can be changed from the widgets options (last tab) in the inspector.

The size can be changed by adjusting the padding. Right now you can't change the size of the subdomain separately from the main navigation but we will be adding this feature.

Is there a way to style the submenu items? For instance:

1) My submenu items are underlined. I do not want underlining and I have turned it off for the top level menu items but it persists on the submenus
2) I want to change the text color of the submenu items because the main nav bar is over a dark green shape but the drop downs come down over a white background. So they cannot be white like the top level menu items are. They need to be black or a dark colour. Cant see a way.
3) I am getting a pink background for the submenu items on hover select. I did select pink as the hover color for the text of the main items but I didnt select this background colour which I dont want as its ugly, especially because the hover text colour seems to be red.

Any way to make these detailed changes directly from everWeb or do I have to go in and modify the code? If I have to do that, please give me a hint where I start and how to find the code for the navigation menu and its submenus. And once I change code how do I get it in?
