How to insert an indented quotation in a text bloc & getting rid of unwanted extra leading

Two main questions...

1) Have a 4 ½ inch wide text block doing down the center of the page. Don't know how to correctly insert an indented quotation... Did it clumsily by adding a bunch of carriage returns in the middle of the text block and then inserted a new text block with the quotation in the middle of it all. Looked fine in EW but disastrous in Safari. Suspect I need to break up the long text block into several or maybe there's a quicker way around this {?], hopefully not using code.

2) At times I'm seeing extra leading in a paragraph where I don't think I've inserted it. Incidentally, I didn't put in a carriage return and the Before and the After Paragraph & Line Heights don't look any different from earlier lines in that same paragraph.

I attached a screen shot, but when I removed it I wasn't able to attach a new one. If one is needed, I'll send another.

THANKS

(1) Why would you not just add the quotation in the same text block, highlight it and then change the font, size color whatever?

(2) Did you check the inset margin?

Thanks.

Good idea. Think I'll add the quotation, make it bold, maybe bring it down a point size. That'll have to be good enough for now if there isn't a way to indent the paragraph without using code.

2) Checked the inset margin but when I selected the smaller paragraph and increased the inset margin, the change got applied to the entire (longer) text block rather than just the paragraph.
