Text block from EW looking weird in Safari

User: Jonkeba 12 years ago
Not sure if this is a bug or I'm missing something about text blocks... In EW I have one main text block (about 5" wide) with a series of paragraphs going down the middle of the page. Off to each side of the text block I've inserted small snippets of text, surrounded by a rectangular shape with rounded edges. At first things were screwed up in EW because I hadn't adjusted in the Insert Margin. Once I did that, everything was fine in EW.

I'm still having a problem, however, with the way the page looks in Safari.
Any ideas about what might be going on?

Many thanks—

NOTE: I fixed the problem by getting rid of the text block and frame and starting fresh. That worked but did see the problem reoccur. Will try to figure it out by looking at place where the same thing did work and see what's different about them. Suspect it's got something to do with the text block and the frame clashing... (Messed up the screen shots that I attached here so I edited them out.)

p.s. Yes, the frame clashed with the text box. Part of the problem was that occasionally the outlines of the text block overlapped the frame. Putting the text box within the frame fixed the problem in Safari. Looked fine in Chrome, too, but when it came to Firefox, things were again a mess with big gap in text. Think I was getting too fancy with colored frames around text boxes for it to work in all browsers in exactly the same way & ditched the idea, in favor of a simple thing—just a text box with text in color (off to the side of the main text block running down the center of the page).
