Add a Round Rectangle Shape to your website and go to Inspector->Fill Options (second tab) to adjust the Fill settings. You can select a color, gradient or image fill. In that same box it says 'Normal' at the top (next to fill). Click that and you will see a drop down menu saying Mouse Over and Mouse Down where you can adjust the mouse over/down affects for that shape. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

I have a question on the topic of buttons so will add to this post. My best attempt at creating a button with text always results in the shape mouse-over effect happening before I'm able to click on the text. And if I set a different look to the text when it's mouse-overed, like underline, the action comes second because the mouse over is first affecting the shape before the little hand gets to the text. Does that makes sense? And clicking the shape does not activate the hyperlink - only clicking the text does. So I've never actually been able to make a big button (as you would see in a navigation bar) where both the shape and text are responding in unison and both clickable.

If you want the link to affect the whole shape, make sure the text is not being edited (ie don't double click and highlight the text). Just single click on the shape so it's selected and add a hyperlink to it. For your other questions, publishing a sample page showing the problem would help me better understand. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
