Viewing Add Image to Header
Add Image to Header

In iWeb I have images in the Header area of my page. To do this all you need to do is drag an image into the Header area, the box lights up and the image is added with my Header text on top. I've added a screenshot example. Can this be done in EverWeb. Not seeing an obvious way to do it.

You can drag and drop any image into the header area in EverWeb too. Just hold the cmd-key while dragging the picture. Or use the html widget with some code, which is way better in SEO terms: Last edit 10 years ago ------------------------------- Darian new to web design ______________________ My websites: Vocal Affairs // Singkehlchen |

@ Darian I now have a widget for that. If you PM me with your email address I'll send you a copy to test drive. So I did get it to work by Command/Drag and moving my text box in the Header to the front. Now this is not a complaint, but an observation coming from iWeb. iWebs "Edit Mask" box is an easy way to edit a photo when placed in the Header area. In EverWeb it seems I will need to use a combination of pre-cropping the image and maybe using the Metrics Inspector to accomplish what I need. I did not try the HTLM Widget yet. I see in your HTML code a suggested image size of 800x200. Does this mean that every image I want to use in the Header area should be cropped to 800x200. |

Joe, the image size I posted in the widget code is an example. Paste whatever number you need in.

pumpkin- thanks, understood. About the HTML Widget. I assume I place the widget in the Header. As for the code: Where the code says "ASSETSPATH", is that where I would put the path to a photo I had in say, Assets. | |

Make sure you copy the relative path, select this part... {!–ASSETSPATH–!}Images/image_name.jpg ... and do Command V. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
