Viewing Text and images are over lapping in IE

Text and images are over lapping in IE

User: martin1866 12 years ago
I know this question has been asked before, but I can't find it. I have a problem in that I use safari when I check my site online everything looks fine, but when my site is viewed in IE images and text on this page don't appear to display properly the images over lapp text and some text overlaps other text.

Roddy, Paul if you have any ideas can you advise

To avoid this in older versions of IE you need to space things out more. Also make sure your line height settings are not less than 1.

The other thing that might help is to use the Inset Margin feature in the Text inspector to give the text more space in the box. This is just a wild guess as I haven't tested it in IE!

Hi roddy,

thanks for the reply unfortunately that doesn't appear to have worked, also it appears that If i move text/image around it leaves much bigger spaces in safari, aghhhh

Can you post your URL so we can take a look? Also what version of Internet Explorer are you seeing problems with?

hi Paul its www.designamind.co.uk, I think I may have solved that problem now by having 2 separate txt boxes 1 either side of my image, now it looks as though the txt has changed, the IE font but is accurate in safari I'm using georgia which is web safe isn't it?

Having looked at your site, I think the fact that you have zero spacing between the paragraphs could be contributing to the problem.
