Page Anchors would be a nice feature and one that many people often asked how to do in iWeb | |

Yup, we want to add that with the ability to do nice sliding anchors rather than just jumping to the page section.

I'm not a fan of using anchors since I try to practice what I preach and keep pages relatively short - particularly now that we are dealing with the "small screen". I did do a test a while back with jQuery. It works well and there's not much code to deal with... http://ezmacwebdesign.com/Demo/smooth-scroll.html ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Quote: Page Anchors would be a nice feature and one that many people often asked how to do in iWeb There's actually no such thing as a "Page Anchor". An anchor is just a link which points to a target. The URL of the link contains the target ID preceded by the hash sign. An anchor is not restricted to any one page. It can jump to any web page as long as you have access to insert the target and its ID. This can be any page of the same website or any other site that you control since the link can obviously be an external one. Here's a demo of both standard and smooth scrolling anchors in EasyWeb along with both text and image links and a link to the bottom of another page of the same site ... http://roddymckay.com/EasyWeb/smooth-scrolling-anchors.html Anchors would be a good beginner project to introduce users to the idea of code injection since the code is so simple and the concept very easy to understand. Adding the java script is just a question of copy and paste. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
