Does the label "Web Safe Colors" mean anything these days and if it does, does it have any relevance to EasyWeb? If it's still relevant, does EasyWeb convert colors to "web safe" colors? / thanks. |

You do not need to worry about web safe colors. They were only important when computers suppored a max of 256 different colors. Computers these days can support millions of colors and have been able to for a very long time.

Oh man, now I'm confused. For text and lines and shapes, etc., are we not to use the Web Safe Colors only, offered in Apple's Color Palette? That's what I've been doing. You mean I have more than 4 shades of grey I can choose from? I'm glad this question was raised. ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |

Yes you can use pretty much any color you want. Keep in mind colors across devices may not always look exactly the same. This doesn't have anything to do with web safe colors though, rather how the devices are calibrated to display color. It's a very complex subject and not one I am a complete expert on. It was related to the color issues in earlier EasyWeb beta versions. Generally it is not something you have worry about unless you are trying to match colors specified in EasyWeb to match colors in images. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
