Viewing Scrolling text boxes
Scrolling text boxes

Hi, I have created a scrolling text box for my site. It's here in "Latest News" : http://www.ragewebsite.com. I have created it because I wasn't satisfied with Freeway's RSS extension, so it's only a scolling text box with links leading to text pages. Is there a way to do the same with Easyweb? I don't see any scrolling feature for text boxes. |

One way to do this would be to create a plain page in EasyWeb with the links on it and exclude it from the navigation menu. Then reference this page in an iframe - giving the iframe suitable dimensions. Paste the code into an HTML Widget on the page where you want the links to appear. Here's an example done in iWeb... http://www.iwebformusicians.com/Website ... OK, I see how to do it, but is there a way to reference a newly created or edited page without publishing the site first?

The RSS widget will be scrollable if you the number of items is greater than the height of the widget.

OK. Is there a way to create RSS pages directly in EasyWeb, like in iWeb?

You mean a blog? A blog won't come in the first release. We are working on a better blogging system than iWeb. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Yes, in the first version of my site, I used the iWeb Blog feature to create the site's news. What was interesting is that I was able to create RSS pages and include it to the site without leaving iWeb. I hope you can include something similar in EasyWeb.

Once we implement the blogging feature you will be able to do this.
