What's the difference? If I use mouse down, does that negate mouse over? Or is this for people who like to scuttle their mouse, instead of just resting it there? <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt="" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

Mouse over changes the object when the mouse is over it, mouse down changes the object when the mouse is pressed on the object. This is common in navigation bars but is a widely used technique these days for regular images. Mouse down will override the mouse over effect when the mouse is pressed. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

So mouse down = mouse clicked? Is it just common parlance to say down?

Quote: So mouse down = mouse clicked? A click is press and release. Mouse down is press and hold. Mouse over and mouse down are becoming redundant since they don't work on mobile devices. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! If the finger is down on it, how are we supposed to see and appreciate the beauty of the transition?

I don't think I've ever done or seen a mouse down - click and hold. Do people even know to do this? i.e. is it worth implementing?
