Shut down my old site with GoDaddy. I have the EasyWeb site ready (I think). It really was fun and for myself a challenge but loved using EasyWeb as the tool to get everything done. The pages look great and with your help along with a few folks on this post we made it. I thank you ALL. Hopefully my last or next to last couple of questions. I would appreciate direct answers rather than a referral to the tutoring site ,,, please :). File name//Nav. Menu Display Name/Web Page Title 1. File name is the title for that particular page, correct? Seems obviously yes. I have each page checked to include page in nav. menu. Seems best for navigating back and forth between pages. 2. Nav. Menu Display Name. I have duplicated the File name for each page except the 1st which I call the Co. name Home as SRM Home. That one is the only one that differs from the File name. 3. Web Page Title. Should probably be the site name but for some reason I'm confused (which obviously doesn't take too darn much post stroke!). I have in lower case www.(the company name).com. I think this is incorrect. When I get Rage hosting in a week or so, I have published everything to a folder and I will need to have my hand held to actually post the site. Last, for now but definitely not least, I am definitely missing the blog aspect of iWeb. It will totally be an asset for my site. This would totally make the trip worthwhile! Thank you... |

Hi Scot, 1. No file name is the actual file name of the page. It appears in your browser's path bar; Example: http://yourdomain.com/filename.html The Title field is your website's Title. The Navigation Display name is used as the link text for the page in the Navigation bar. 2. OK. 3. You can put whatever you want in here. It appears at the top of your web browser for each page and when your site is listed in search engines such as Google. Quote: I would appreciate direct answers rather than a referral to the tutoring site There is a lot of good information in there, I suggest you watch the videos to get a better understanding of how to use EasyWeb. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
